Code of conduct

You are responsible for moving across the dance floor, i.e. paying attention to the other dancers around you, paying attention to your dance partner, not doing aerials and only doing dips with consent. Please keep your movements the smaller the more crowded the dance floor is, apologise when bumping in to each other but also forgive fellow dancers for this 🙂

By registering and attending the event, you agree to help make the event a safe and welcoming place for everyone:
Discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to nationality, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, physical appearance, body size, dance experience or dance role, will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the event.
Harassment and transgressions of any kind will also not be tolerated and may result in the same consequences as discrimination.

A dedicated Safer-Space team will be present during the event. Please speak to them about any concerns you have or if you feel uncomfortable for any reason. You do not have to attend in person and can remain anonymous while your concerns are addressed.

Timetable

Friday

The check-in will be open from 17:45 o’clock on. If you purchased a ticket with a discount please provide a proof (for example your student ID).

From 19:45 o’clock there will be pizza on Floor 2 for all those who have ordered pizza (for which you will receive a meal ticket at the check-in). A bunch of (vegetarian/vegan) party-pizzas will be ordered and shared. 🙂

You will have the opportunity to get a drink for a small donation. Please bring some coins with you.

In the evening we have The Toolbox Sisters from Berlin an DJ Mr. Pingle from Hamburg playing for us.

We are restricted on making noise, so we’ll all need to move to floor 2 at 0:00 o’clock.

Saturday

On Saturday there will be a Swing brunch between classes from 12:30 – 13:30 o’clock. The brunch will be a pod luck buffet so that we can strengthen ourselves for the second half of the day. Please bring your own plates, cutlery and cup (so we don’t need disposable tableware). And if you remember, please write a little note whether the food you bring contains meat, egg or dairy products, but we can also do that at the event. 🙂
We would be delighted if you take part! A big goal of this weekend is that we get to know each other better as a community.

While you are enjoying your lunch, there will be little input covering parts of the history of Swing.

On Saturday evening you will again, have the opportunity to get a drink for a small donation. Please bring some coins with you.

At the party we have The Toolbox Sisters from Berlin as a guest again and Nathan as a DJ.

Please remember to buy some food for Sunday because all the shops will be closed.

Sunday

Parallel to the Theme-Class the Tea Dance will start in the neighbouring room, continuing till the afternoon. It would be really amazing if you could give us a hand cleaning up when you are talking a break from dancing 🙂
